No Point Crying Over Drank Milk

An empty glass of milk on the kitchen table, capturing a late-night conversation between siblings about change, nostalgia, and growing up

As I continue my weight loss journey, I’ve made quite a few changes to my lifestyle. These changes have been incredibly helpful, but let’s be honest—you do end up missing the old, carefree days.

One such change is my dinner schedule. I now eat between 7:00-7:30 PM, strictly. It’s great for my health, but the downside? Late-night hunger.

Sleeping at 10:30 PM is still a goal I’m working toward (let’s not talk about how well that’s going 😂), so hunger strikes at night. My old solution? Eating something. My new solution? A glass of milk with dry fruit powder.

Now, I’ve never been a fan of plain milk unless it had Bournvita in it. But I can’t do that anymore, can I? 😂

A Midnight Kitchen Conversation

So, late at night, I got hungry. Coincidentally, so did my sister.

We both ended up in the kitchen. She was having her milk with chocolate, while I was stuck with my sad little replacement. (Let’s not repeat what it was, we all know. 😂)

As we sat there drinking milk, we got into our usual deep conversations about life and psychology. Both of us are studying psychology, so this happens often.

Earlier that night, I had shown her a piece of a podcast that deeply resonated with my thought process. It was about victim mentality – something I absolutely hate. We talked about it and basically became a podcast of our own.

Just as our discussion was wrapping up, she suddenly said, “I can’t believe the days we are living in now. We used to eat four packets of Maggi—two in the morning—and look at us now.”

I shrugged and replied, “Well, we’re old now. It’s time you accepted that.”

Her face immediately changed. The look she gave me said, “How dare you include me in the oldies club?”

I couldn’t resist.

“Well,” I smirked, I guess there’s no point crying over drank milk.” 😂
