The World Changes With You

Some evenings feel heavier than others. I remember one such moment when I asked myself,
“Do people really crave a purpose, or do they just move through life because they’ve woken up?”
It wasn’t a philosophical question. It was a reflection of how I was feeling — lost, disconnected, and maybe a little tired of chasing meaning.
It’s fascinating how your internal state becomes the lens through which you see the world. On your good days, everything feels lighter. People seem kinder. The sky looks bluer. Your coffee tastes better. But on the rough days, the same world feels dull, distant, and heavy. We start to question things we usually believe in, not because the world has changed, but because we have.
Maybe that’s what we need to remember. How we see the world often has more to do with what’s going on inside us than what’s happening outside. When the day feels off, it’s okay. Sometimes, the lens just needs a little cleaning, not the world.
